The year (2019) of Crazylabels

Like a small fish among the sharks. That's how it felt when Crazylabels started in 2018. Still, we knew exactly what we were getting into. It wasn't an easy task, but with the right vision and goals, we got started. 2019 was a turbulent year. Things certainly didn't go smoothly, but we look back with a positive feeling. Acquisition of Labelstickers.nl

The champagne glasses had barely dried in the cupboard when Crazylabels was raising a glass again in January 2019. The newcomer from the east of the Netherlands suddenly gained 5,000 customers and a huge inventory. This marked the end of its status as a small fish, and Crazylabels could now call itself a real player in the market. The acquisition of Labelstickers was a boost, as well as a solid foundation of loyal customers.

New supplier

Crazylabels soon realized that demand for labels was so high that we didn't want to depend on a single supplier. During the first quarter, we held many discussions with new partners. Quality obviously has to be good, but delivery times are also very important in today's 24-hour economy. Customers shouldn't have to wait more than 24 hours for their orders. Crazylabels seizes opportunities wherever they arise.

We strive to get our customers their orders within 24 hours
New website

What ranked highly on our list was a clear, easy-to-navigate website. This is one of the reasons Crazylabels doesn't list 20,000 products on its website, but limits its range to around fifty products. We sell the absolute bestsellers. This doesn't mean that Crazylabels doesn't sell other products. Our core range is strong and easy to find. Thanks to our analytical background, we know which products sell best and which ones we should always have in stock. Ease of ordering and customer-friendliness are the key words at Crazylabels. A customer shouldn't have to spend more than ten seconds looking for a product and should be able to place and pay for an order within two minutes. This fits with our vision and our view of the market. Improving the website is an ongoing process. We also expect to make major improvements in 2020. A new website is therefore at the top of our to-do list for 2020.

Convenience of ordering and customer friendliness are the key principles of Crazylabels.
Crazylabels expands beyond its borders

In mid-2019, Crazylabels started advertising in Belgium. At first, it was to test the market: how would our product perform? What did our neighbors think of the website? And which products were popular? We soon discovered that there is a huge market outside the Netherlands for Dymo labels and shipping labels. We soon decided to invest in new systems and a new website. One goal was to set up the .be domain, and we succeeded! In 2020, Crazylabels will make its presence felt even more in the European market.

New premises and staff

As demand continued to grow, so did our inventory. With 24-hour delivery being a must, Crazylabels had to make sure it could continue to serve its customers well. Much of our growth is thanks to our marketing formula. Two dedicated and experienced marketers were on hand day and night to help build Crazylabels' success. Toward the end of 2019, we decided to rent a building with extra space for storage and offices. In September, we hired our first full-time employee. She makes sure everything is shipped out neatly and also assists our customers. This allows us to maintain our service.

Record after record

Like every company, we also had a target. Alongside an NPS (Net Promoter Score) of 70, meaning exceptionally high customer satisfaction, we also had a revenue target. At the beginning of the year, it seemed quite ambitious and almost unattainable. We reached this target in September 2019, and by mid-December 2019 we had doubled it. At the beginning of 2019, we could never have imagined that on our busiest day, Friday, November 29, 2019 (Black Friday), we would ship more than a hundred parcels.

a great day with more than a hundred parcels.
What 2020 has in store for us

The Crazylabels team has been working for a while to get everything ready for 2020. With confidence and a huge amount of energy, the coming year is full of new challenges. We can't wait to accomplish the following:

  • New website;
  • Live in three European countries;
  • 150% growth compared to 2019;
  • NPS (customer satisfaction) of 70;
  • Two new product categories;
  • Multiple delivery options.
We're excited for 2020! We hope you are too. On behalf of the entire Crazylabels team, we'd like to thank everyone for a fantastic year. We'll be here for you again in 2020!
