Crazylabels stands for sustainability and environmental friendliness. This is reflected not only in the way we work, but also in our labels and shipping labels. From production to shipping, Crazylabels strives to do everything in an environmentally conscious way. BPA-free labels

Since January 2020, all labels have had to be BPA-free. We wrote a blog about this earlier. Here are the facts at a glance: Bisphenol A is an organic synthetic compound used worldwide in the production of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins, and as a color developer in thermal paper. It is also used in a wide variety of consumer products, such as sports equipment and CDs. Recent safety concerns have led to restrictions on its use. The most recent is EU Regulation 2016/2235, which amends the REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) list of restricted substances. In practice, this legislative amendment means that thermal paper with a BPA concentration of more than 0.02% will be banned in Europe after January 2. Color developer typically makes up 1-1.5% of the paper's weight. A maximum BPA level of 0.02% means it can no longer be intentionally added during production. Trace amounts of BPA (less than 0.02%) resulting from the transfer of residues during the various stages of self-adhesive label production are acceptable.

What does this mean for you?

At Crazylabels, we work with manufacturers who are prepared for this change in legislation. Our largest supplier works with UPM Raflatac, which previously published a statement that all its material is BPA-free.

What can you do?

  • Check whether your thermal labels are BPA-free
  • Stop buying labels that contain BPA
  • Find a supplier that sells BPA-free products
  • Use up your stock before January 1, 2020
Packaging and shipping

In addition to making a conscious choice of materials, packaging and shipping are also very important. Crazylabels handles this in batches of dozens. The Dymo 99012 labels are packed 10 at a time in a suitably sized box. So we don't ship empty space or use oversized boxes. For larger orders, ten small boxes fit into one large box. That's how we ship our hundreds. Every day, the packages are sent to PostNL in a single batch and delivered to the customer the next day. So placing your order with Crazylabels is definitely a good choice. <></>
